We offer FREE hearing tests and hearing aids for pension concession cardholders, their dependents, and DVA cardholders.

It is a little known fact that the person you choose to care for your hearing makes a big difference to the outcome. Solving hearing difficulties requires expertise. You should consider the qualifications, experience and independence of your hearing service provider, along with their approach and the value for money offered.

Susan Jones is an accredited provider with the Office of Hearing Services and provides free hearing tests and hearing aids for pension concession cardholders, their dependents, and DVA cardholders.

For people not able to access subsidised services, there is a consultation fee of $150 (incl. GST) for adults. This fee is fully refundable against the cost of any hearing aid or device purchased through us. The initial consultation fee for children is $120 (incl. GST). Rebates may be available through your private health fund – you will need to any rebate from your private health fund directly.

A typical initial appointment will take between 45 – 60 minutes and includes a hearing test or hearing assessment; diagnosis of hearing loss or other hearing problems; and expert advice on the best treatment including hearing aid prescription, assistive listening devices and rehabilitation techniques.

If hearing aids are recommended, there is no obligation to purchase and you will never be asked to make any decisions on the spot. We always provide a range of treatment options for people to consider and recommend that you go away and think about what will work best for you. We are not paid any form of commission on hearing aid sales.
