Selective Hearing is an independent, family-owned audiology clinic, based in Tarragindi, Brisbane for 10 years. We operate from our own permanent premises at Brisbane Health Connect, located next door to Wellers Hill Medical Centre for easy access to a range of community health, GP and specialist services.

Our small team is highly accomplished, with nearly 30 years working in hearing health. We provide a comprehensive range of services and solutions to protect and improve your hearing and ear health now, with long-term consistent care for your future.

Susan Jones

Our Principal Audiologist, Susan Jones, has nearly 25 years’ experience treating children and adults for hearing loss in hospital and clinic settings. Highly trained, Susan is an accredited provider with the Hearing Services Program (HSP), and has a postgraduate qualification in Audiology. She is a full member of Audiology Australia (AudA), holds a Certificate of Clinical Practice (CCP) and has led successful audiology practices in Australia and the UK. After growing up in Tarragindi, Susan Jones returned to live in the area with her family, and establish Tarragindi’s only audiology clinic.

Sonia Burke

Sonia Burke has been working in hearing clinics for the past 10 years and she has been a valuable part of the Selective Hearing team for more than 4 years. Sonia is our Practice Manager and is the person most people will talk to when they call Selective Hearing. She loves the personal connections she gets to make with all of our clients. Sonia never forgets a face and you’ll always be greeted with her welcoming smile.

Jennifer Tomsia

Jenny was born and bred in Tarragindi. Jenny is a talented and dedicated Primary School Teacher with over 10 years of teaching experience. She is adding to her wealth of teaching knowledge with clinical audiometry studies. Jenny prides herself on staying up-to-date with the latest hearing aid technology. Her talents in teaching transfer beautifully into audiology and her caring, supportive nature makes her a wonderful addition to the Selective Hearing team.
